Today I’m excited to feature a guest who is a known risk-taker and prides herself on living by her own terms. Ali Levine.

Celebrity stylist and motherhood/fashion/lifestyle expert Ali Levine believes that no matter where you roam, from the laundry room to the red carpet, authenticity is your superpower and “confidence is your best accessory.” Raised in the high-velocity fashion culture of New York City, a natural gift for style led Levine to opportunities working with international designers like Coach, Talbots, and the opening of New York’s flagship Target location. A transition to television/film took her to Hollywood, where she founded the Ali Levine Design headquarters, quickly establishing herself as LA’s “it” girl of celebrity styling with a star-studded portfolio that includes top names like Jesse McCartney, Arianny Celeste, Holly Robinson Peete, Joey King, Gretchen Rossi, Lisa Vanderpump and more. She rose to reality stardom with her Bravo show Stipped, which had exposed couple’s relationships wilee stripping them of everything they own – clothing, furniture, money, coveted possessions, to uncover what truly matters most.

After the arrival of her first child, daughter Amelia Rei, Levine wholeheartedly embraced the role of mompreneur/mommy influencer. She is now a mama of two and shares her real raw truth of motherhood. She is a sought-after motherhood style/lifestyle expert covered by Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, NY Times, and LA Times, with design ideas featured on national network television and in print/online media outlets such as Real Simple, PopSugar, and FabFitFun. She is also one of Yahoo’s “Top Influencers to Watch and Follow in 2020.” The Ali Levine blog – which shares the unfiltered moment-to-moment evolution that is #MomLife, along with everyday style inspiration – earned a spot among the top 100 personal stylist blogs and has been named one of the top 40 LA fashion blogs. On the “Everything with Ali Levine” podcast, the New York hotshot-turned-Hollywood style maven delivers a real, raw look at her own motherhood journey amid the treasures she’s uncovered in the universal search for authenticity, spiritual wholeness, and happiness.

My Appearance on Good Day New York

My Appearance on Good Day New York 2000 1339 Chase Jennings

Strutting into 2020 like…😸

Thank you Liz Teich for your fashion expertise. You discovered great holiday finds that are on trend and are super affordable.

It was so fun being on FOX Good Day New York with Lori Stokes and Rosanna Scotto. You pronounced my name perfectly btw – Kanika rhymes with Hannukah! 🕎 And how I can I forget hanging out in the green room with Natasha Danna, Erin Doulight and Stella Leo. We worked it ladies!

This reminded of me of my modeling, pageant and newsroom days which feels like a past lifetime ago. Although I’m not as young nor a size 0 any more, I feel empowered, proud to be a working Mama of 3, and am confident in my skin. Cheers to inclusion, diversity, and all women for being the superheroes that we are.

Marylou Luther on That's Total Mom Sense with Kanika Chadda-Gupta

Residing in New York, making her mark in Los Angeles, and hailing from a small town in Nebraska, Marylou Luther is a fashion industry legend. She had little exposure to fashion when she began her career at The Lincoln Journal and The Des Moines Register. Fast forward forty years and she became the Creative Director of Fashion Group International, Editor of the International Fashion Syndicate, CFDA Award winner, syndicated Clotheslines columnist and more. “Marylou’s bi-annual, ready-to-wear trend report for FGI — narrated in her signature authoritative, sophisticated voice, sets the seasonal tone with her much anticipated summaries. It’s no wonder her trend reports are followed by industry professionals in 28+ regions all over the world.”

Marylou and I have our own special story of how we crossed paths. We met in 2009 at Lakmé Fashion Week in Mumbai, India, and when we got to chatting, we discovered we both have ties to CNN (I was Chief Fashion Correspondent for the CNN affiliate in India; her son Walter has been an acclaimed video journalist for the bureau in New York for the past 30 years), have a penchant for Parisian cuisine, prefer our coffee with a spoonful of vanilla ice cream, and are members of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. Long lost sorority sisters (nearly sixty years apart) meeting for the first time in India? We think there’s only one word to describe it – “serendipity.” I am so thankful to have my 88-year-old gal pal, mentor, and soul sister in my life. Cheers to you, Marylou!
