Test your microphone
Use an external microphone with your laptop and make sure it is configured with Zoom (Settings > Audio > Microphone). I also recommend using the default audio settings: “Automatically adjust microphone volume” and “Auto” for “Suppress background noise.”
Wear headphones/earbuds
Please wear headphones/earbuds during our interview to eliminate echos/feedback on the recording. If unavailable, please set your speakers on low volume and make sure you’re in a quiet space.
Adjust your video settings
With your Zoom app open, go to Preferences > Settings > Video. The recommended settings are:
1) Mirror my video
2) Touch up my appearance set to between 20-40%
3) Adjust for low light: Auto
